Srinagar: SKUAST-K Scientists and Teachers Association (SSTA) has congratulated the scientist fraternity, students and the officers of SKUAST-K for the university being ranked 13th on all India basis.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, has brought out the ranking of the 63 state agricultural universities in the country in which the SKUAST-K has been ranked 13th.
“Teachers, research management, university administration along with the students and scholars toiled hard to improve the annual ranking of the university that raised from 27th rank last year to the 13th this year”, President SSTA, Prof. S.A Dar said.
Dar also appreciated the efforts of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-K and the entire university administration for achieving the grand feat hoping the varsity shall find its place within first five universities in the next annual ranking.
SSTA have also congratulated Dr. Ambreen Hamadani, Ph.D. Scholar F.V.Sc, SKUAST-K, who became one of the winners of the ‘India Innovation Growth Programme (IIGP) 2.0 – University Challenge 2019’. The student received a citation and a cheque of Rs. 10 lac on behalf of SKUAST-K at an award ceremony held at New Delhi for her novel idea of using artificial intelligence in farm management system.
“Students of our university have excelled in different civil services exams, state level competitive exams, PSC recruitments, national and overseas scholarship programmes, the credit of which after the hard work of students goes to the university teachers, scientists and the university administration” Dar said.
