Widespread rains and snowfall are likely across most parts of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions on Tuesday and Wednesday, Ziraat Times weather monitoring indicates.

While snowfall is likely to start Tuesday evening across Pinpanjal range, Shamasbari Range in north Kashmir, parts of Gurez, rains and snowfall in South Kashmir and valley plains are likely to start late in the evening.

Some heavy snowfall is likely across north Kashmir mountains, karewa areas, Sindh Valley, South Kashmir, Bhaderway, Kishtwar parts, including Marwah-Wadwan valley, Kargil-Zanaskar on Wednesday.

While at this time the temperature, wind direction and cloud cover observations indicate rains in Kashmir valley parts, on Wednesday in case the daytime temperatures would go down to 2 C, snowfall could also be experienced in parts of Kashmir valley, especially in South Kashmir and parts of Rafiabad, Handwara, Kupwara, Lolab valley and upper parts of Ganderbal.

Farmers are advised to take necessary precautions and plan their spray activities accordingly.

Parts of Jammu plains will experience rainfall starting Tuesday until Wednesday.
