PHD Chamber Kashmir Chapter hailed the efforts of Governor, Chief Secretary and the Advisors who are working for the development of each sector of J&K State.
In an official statement given by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir, its Chairman Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya said, In July 2018 PHD Chamber Kashmir Chapter had a meeting with Shri Vijay Kumar (IAS) Advisor to governor wherein issues of exorbitant airfare was discussed and was suggested to bring un-served Awantipora Airport and Old Airport Rangreth under Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN-RCS) in which the Civil Aviation Policy had capped the passenger fares for flight journeys from un-served airports at Rs.2500 per hour of flying for around 500KM.
Chaya Said, the chamber has put forth this suggestion in order to meet the growing demand to curb the exorbitant airfares due to a heavy influx of travelers or highway breakdown in winters.
We are highly obliged to Hon`ble Advisor who assured us that he will get the necessary clearance from the Ministry of Defence and Civil Aviation.
This reflects the fact that suggestions submitted by PHD Chamber Kashmir in this regard has not gone unheard and we are very thankful to Governor Administration for working relentlessly for resolving the issues pertaining to the economic development of J&K State.
