Srinagar: Chairman Nigeen Tourist Traders Association, Manzoor Wangnoo said people of Kashmir have once again demonstrated their legendary hospitable nature by opening their hearts to the tourists who got stranded in the valley due to closure of Srinagar airport for civilian flights, today.

“Department of Tourism took great initiative and offered the helping hand, while as, many hoteliers offered free accommodation to the stranded tourists in their respective hotels/Houseboats/Guesthouses, he said.
A timely helpline by TAAK and other trade bodies is the living example of hospitality, he said.

I am also highly thankful to the members of Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) who wholeheartedly not only offered free boarding and lodging facilities in their hotels/houseboats to the stranded tourists, but are also willing to send their transportation for pickup in case any tourist finds it difficult to arrange the same, he added.
