Srinagar, July 25: The National Statistical Office (NSO) and Common Services Centre  (CSC) organised  one day Regional Level Training Workshop on technology  module of 7th Economic Census in Srinagar. The officers and officials of National Statistical Office (NSO), Common Services Centre  (CSC) and Directorate of Economics and Statistics of various districts of Kashmir division of Jammu and Kashmir attended the said training programme. 

Shahzada Bilal Ahmad, DG  Planning, Development and Monitoring Department of Jammu and Kashmir Government  also attend the inaugural session.

In the inaugural session, Altaf Hussain Haji, Director, NSO Regional Office Srinagar in his introductory address explained the importance of 7th economic census  for planning and development of the nation and state.

Shahzada Bilal Ahmad in his address said that it is our duty to conduct 7th economic census smoothly. Shahnwaz Ahmad Shah state head CSC also spoke in the function and made a general request to participants to learn software  so that in future no problems will be faced and any delays in the 7th Economic census  could be avoided. Basharat Ahmad Makhdoomi, Regional Director, Directorate of Economics and Statistics also attended the workshop.

Altaf Hussain Haji, Director, NSO (FOD) regional office Srinagar  also said that the development and wellbeing are the two burning issues of each and every country of the world. They can be viewed through Sustainable Development Goals with Targets and Indicators  and the 7th economic census is a part of the programme.. He also said that the success of these surveys depends to great extent on the quality of the response from public in general for providing correct information. He also requested all the stakeholders to extend their kind cooperation and spare valuable time to provide correct and complete information. 

 The training was imparted by well trained officers from NSO and CSC and was concluded by vote of thanks.
