Srinagar, July 9: A review meeting of Horticulture sector Kashmir was held in the meeting hall of Directorate of Horticulture Kashmir. Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, chaired the meeting.
Deputy Director Central, Accounts Officer and all the Chief Horticulture Officers of Kashmir Valley, Farm Manager, ACHD Zainapora/Rajbagh & Nursery Registration Officer attended the meeting.
Director Horticulture directed the officers to utilize the funds judiciously and properly and also ensure 100% achievements during current financial year as per targets fixed under developmental schemes. He also directed the Chief Horticulture Officers to identify at least 5 small and marginal beneficiaries in each village of the District for high density plantation progamme as desired by the Hon’ble Advisor during the course of meeting held on 4-07-2019.
Director Horticulture instructed Chief Horticulture officers to make a close liaison with the orchardists so that they get benefits of all developmental schemes being implemented by Department and also provide technical guidance. Chief Horticulture officers were directed regarding conducting training/awareness camps, so that farming community is provided technical knowhow in the field of Horticulture.
Director Horticulture also issued instructions to keep strict watch on pesticide trade and report such traders who are found selling spurious/substandard as per provisions of Law.
