Kashmir’s Fruit Master Agro Fresh signs MoU with UAE’s Lulu Group for Kashmir fruit exports

Srinagar: One of Kashmir’s leading agri business company – Fruit Master Agro Fresh Pvt Ltd – has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lulu International signs for supply Apples, Pears, Peaches, Plums, Cherries and other fresh produce from J&K to UAE markets.

The MoU was signed between the company’s CEO Izhan Javed and Mr Salim MA, Director of Lulu International, in the presence of J&K government’s Principal Secretary for Agriculture Production Department Naveen Chaudhary, Councillor General of India to UAE, Aman Puri and Director Horticulture Department Ajaz Ahmad Bhat.

Speaking to Ziraat Times after the signing of the MoU, Mr Izhan said, “This has strengthened our ties with the gulf market. It will help us to provide our farmers direct access to new markets from farm to fork. This tie up will also help us to better understand the international market and drive our pre harvest sector for promotion of varieties and practices which are accepted internationally. The aim is to drive our industry for being globally competitive.”

Significantly, the Lulu group, headed by His excellency Yousif MA & his team, will be visiting Kashmir in the month of February 2021 to establish their own office & establish grading and processing plants in Kashmir too.
