ZT weather outlook: Widespread rains likely in J&K in next 36 hrs

Srinagar: Observation and analysis of multiple weather data indicates medium to heavy rains are likely in many parts of Jammu & Kashmir in the next 36 hours, Ziraat Times Weather Monitoring suggests.

Outlook for Kashmir Division:

Medium to heavy rainfall is likely across whole Kashmir valley during next 36 hours. Kashmir valley and Pirpanjal range areas are likely to witness thunderstorms during this period.

Areas lying in the Outer Himalayas, including upper reaches of Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Are, Kolahoi Glacier, Dachigam are likely to experience light snowfall as well. Snowfall in Zanaskar and Inner Himalayas ranges is likely to result in a dip in temperatures Kargil, Zanaskar and eastern areas of Kashmir valley.

Outlook for Jammu Division:

Widespread rainfall and thunderstorms are likely in entire Jammu division, including Pirpanjal and Chenab valleys.

Heavy rainfall activity in both the Punjabs across the border and Haryana are likely to influence rainfall activity in J&K.

Farmers and mountain trekkers are advised to take necessary precautions.
