Tourism in J&K post Covid19: Eminent industry players discuss priorities at PHD Chamber webinar

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) held a webinar on discussing the continuity imperatives of tourism in J&K post Covid19 crisis.

Sanjay Aggrwal, Senior Vice President, Pradeep Multani, Vice President, PHDCCI joined the webinar and welcomed the participating dignitaries, who included K.B. Kachru, Chairman Emeritus, & Pr. Advisor South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group; Saleem Beg, Former DG Tourism Ministry of Tourism GOI, Convener, J&K Indian National Trust for Art & Cultural Heritage; Mehmood Ahmad Shah, KAS, Director Industries & Commerce Kashmir; Rattan Keswani, Deputy Managing Director Lemon Tree Hotels; Abid Vicky Shaw, Chairman Tourism and Golf Committee PHDCCI-Kashmir and Former President Professional Golfers Association of India and Arjimand Hussain Talib, International Development Expert, Founding Editor of Ziraat Times, among others.

Some experts like Peerzada Aashiq, Senior Correspondent, The Hindu J&K Bureau could not join in due to internet restrictions in the valley.

Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, Mentor Kashmir Region Chapter, PHDCCI also welcomed the national leadership and the dignitaries and set the tone for discussions along with Baldev Singh Raina Chairman, PHDCCI-Kashmir.

Anil Khaitan, Former President PHDCCI in his introductory remarks raised several pertinent issues related to tourism continuity in India and the world over.

Binay Kumar, Former President was also present. Rakesh Wazir, Chairman Mr Rahul Sahai , Co-Chairman , PHDCCI-Jammu Chapter also shared their views and gave valuable suggestions. Ms Mallika Verma Director, PHDCCI moderated the session.
